Great Fishing Lakes
One of the most exciting fishing times is night fishing. On a hot summer night when the lake is still, is my idea of a great time.
The fish seem to come alive in the cooler night air. I love the skylines over the lake. even if the fish don't bite, the night silence on a lake does a body good.
We have been night fishing thousands of times in our boat out on the lake. We have fished everything from small panfish, to musky and pike, catfish of all kinds and more.
In our favorite little lake, we have grown to know quite well, there is a deep hole in a cove near the east side of the lake. It never fails, year after year we anchor down in that spot just before dark. we fish it with bobbers and night crawlers. We have caught some very nice bullhead cats from that pool. We have cranked in one after another night after night. as we are in it just for the sport, we release them safely to the same hole where we faithfully find them again and again.
During the day there is a swampy area of the east end of the lake where we have caught nice musky and pike using lures in the muck and weeds.
Every summer, Saturday night you'll find us in that spot day into the night catching our favorite fish!
See ya out on the lakes!
