Great Fishing Lakes

We were fishing from the shore on a lake out on east I80. The lake was large and calm that day.
The kids were having a blast. They were mainly catching sunfish, perch, and bluegill.
My wife and I were also catching small pan fish with an occasional bass, and one decent sized catfish.
My eight year old son was perched on top of a pointy rock right on the waters edge. He pulled up his catch proud as could be. He stood there grinning as he held it up in the air.
Out of nowhere, a bald eagle swooped down towards his fish. It didn't get close but he was scared and jumped backwards and fell into the lake. He never dropped his fish.
It was funny, because he held onto his fish with a tight grip. He crawled back up onto the shore with his trophy fish. He was disapointed as he had worked so hard to save this fish that when he unhooked it "I said it was time to let it go."
It was a good fishing day, a swimming day for some, and a great day just to sit back and enjoy all kinds of nature, between bald eagles, ducks, and geese, and all the people lined along the shorelines, enjoying the day.
